can gigaset home phones connect to iphones via bluetooth

Hi,

I have just purchased a Gigaset sl910a landline phone that has bluetooth connectivy so you can share pictures etc for your contacts.

It recognises my iphone, and the iphone sees the gigaset in the bluetooth list, saying ‘not connected’.

When i press on the ‘not connected’, it says ‘device not recognised and deletes it from the iphone.

So, is there something i’m doing wrong please, or is it just a case of yes, it recognises it, but no, it won’t allow pairing between the two?

iPhone 7, iOS 11.4.1

Thankyou for your help. I contacted Gigaet and they said it’s Android Bluetooth only😢 and said the only reason the iphone was showing it was because it was a Bluetooth device that the iphone can see but doesn’t mean it has to work with it.

Never mind, i’ve got great new landline handsets, and still love my iphone, theybmay have fallen out with each other, but i’ve not😂

on the gigaset, you go to bluetooth, and it looks for bluetooth devices, my iphone comes up, i select this, it asks for a password from me, i enter this, then on my iphone it comes up asking for the password, i enter this and confirm pair.

Then the gigaset just goes into the bluetooth device list saying ‘not connected’, and as i said above when i press o. this, up comes ‘device not recognised, tats why i’m confused.

I tried about 14 times to no avail
