Could not create a preboot volume for APFS install

sO i erased all my stuff from my macbook just to have a fresh start ya know

but then, i’m trying to reninstall macOS but it’s telling me “could not create preboot volume for APFS” right, so when i try to erase the physical disc (SM0128G) it tells me that the erase process has failed??


im so confused !! anyone know how to fix this!? 😭

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Use Disk Utility in Recovery to format the drive as macOS Extended (Journaled), then try to install.

When you open Disk Utility, click the button at the top of the Drive list and select Show All Devices.

Select the hard drive device, not one of the partitions.
