iCloud status waiting!
I've used iTunes for 15 years without issue until I made the mistake of signing up for apple music in July 2018!!!! The update process deleted all of my tracks, over 100gb, from my hard disk! I didn't want any of my library to move to the cloud.
Unfortunately, I've only managed to download about 2/3 of my library from icloud back to my hard disk. Approx 6,000+ songs are still stuck on "waiting". I've spent hours on the phone with apple support but have still not resolved the problem. Most of the tracks missing are available on iTunes.
This issue has been around since at least 2015
How can this still be happening Apple?... :-(
Unfortunately, my backups failed, so I only have an old ITL file from 6 months ago and no music files! The only copies of the music files are on my ipod. I'll have to shell out for third party s/w to export from the ipod.
What is even more annoying is that some files are now disappearing completely! At least with "Waiting" I had a record of what I had. E.g. I had a playlist with 100 songs on that now only has 98 songs on it. I don't know how many songs have moved from "waiting" to simply disappearing completely.
Anyone else got the problem of "waiting" with apple music? Anyone managed to resolve with libraries of 20,000+ songs? My advice is to be be very careful when using apple music, make sure you Back Up your library and test your back up before proceeding!!!!!!!
