Control-Shift-Command-4 format JPG

When I use the Control-Shift-Command-4 and I copy a portion of the screen to the clipboard, it always saves the image as PNG format. Is there any way to have the image saved as JPG format?

Is it possible to store the screenshot directly to the clipboard instead of a file? There are a couple of ways to take screenshots on MacOS, but all of them save the screenshot as a file on your desktop. Is there a way to store a screenshot directly to the clipboard memory and paste it in a mail or message ?

Screenshot directly to file? Whenever I make a screenshot, the file appears for a few seconds at the end of my screen before getting saved to my drive. This is very disturbing for my workflow; seems like a solution for kids and not for professionals. Is there a setting anywhere where this "preview" "feature" can be turned off? In previous OS versions, the file was saved immediately.

FWIW, I believe that's because you created a .jpg file when you used the .jpg extension.

Personally I've never heard of Froala or XenForo so I don't know what they do.
