AirDrop deleted

When I go in spotlight search I can find airdrop, but when I open it, it will come up with a error message saying "The operation can’t be completed because the item can’t be found"

How are you trying to "open" it?


All you need to do is, while in Finder, go to Go in the menu bar and you should find Airdrop in the drop down:


User uploaded file


click on the Airdrop and a Finder window should open.

If the issue persists, or if AirDrop has truly been deleted, you’ll have to reinstall macOS to resolve the issue. While this shouldn’t delete any data, I always recommend creating a backup first:
