I have lost all login info. I don't have the apple ID that was used back then. I don't know what my email address was back then. It was a gift so i can not get anything from the merchant who sold it. What do I do? Is it now a paperweight? THis is for a first generation ipad.

At this point you will need to ask Apple's Apple ID Account Security team for further assistance with this matter. To contact them, clickhereand pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submitthis form.

Without a copy of the original purchase receipt with the serial number, Apple probably won't be able to help.
