customize the Find feature to look for whole words in Preview?

Mac High Sierra. Have not figured out how to "customize" the Find command to look for whole words only when using Preview. Using " marks do not work. Anyone know the correct parameters or where to find the custom features, if any?

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

Consider that a whole word is most often surrounded by spaces, so in your search, use " word ". Unfortunately, Preview does not support regular expressions or wildcards.
