5.1 Audio output on Apple TV 4K

I want to hook up an Apple TV to a Samsung 4K monitor (U28H750) and then hook up a 5.1 surround sound system to that. The one I have in mind is the Logitech Speaker System Z906. I noticed that the Apple TV doesn’t have an Audio port.. the audio only goes through the HDMI along with the video feed. I know the Apple TV supports upto 7.1 but I am unsure of the monitor. The Samsung monitor has an audio out port (headphone symbol under an audio port) Do most modern audio out ports support 5.1? or is there only one standard of audio ports? The Apple TV is doing all the processing of sound and video so it should work right? (I really dont know much about audio technology)

Does the Apple TV allow Bluetooth audio solutions?

Also, if headphone jacks dont allow 5.1, does that mean that my MacBook Pro couldn’t output 5.1 either?

Lastly, some headphones are 5.1, so wouldn’t some headphone jacks in highend devices be capable of 5.1?

Yes, Apple TV works with Bluetooth speakers, however the Z906 doesn’t support that nor would you be able to connect 5.1 components in that manner

Correct, the headphone jack on a MacBook wouldn’t output 5.1 either.

Those headphones would be providing virtual 5.1

That is a headphone jack, which will not support 5.1

You would need an optical audio out port and a monitor that supports 5.1 passthrough

Apple TV is really meant for connecting to a TV
