Moving music files from a Mac to an iPhone

Trying to move music files from my MacBook to iPhone however it says I can’t as I have my ‘iCloud music library turned on’. However I have Apple Music therefore I don’t want to turn off my iCloud music library, is there anyway to do this without turning it off.

Transfer music to Mac I realized today that I have some music on my iPhone 13 that is not on my Mac. I believe I bought it on iTunes but that is beside the point. I'm trying to figure how to transfer it to my Mac. It's a late 2012 running Catalina 10.15.7. I have no problem moving music from my Mac to my iPhone. But there are a few things on my iPhone that for some reason are not on the Mac. I am not subscribed to Apple Music. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sync music to iCloud Hi. I have 19GB of music on my MacBook Pro that I'd like moved off my device and onto iCloud. The Sync Library box is checked in Music/Preferences. Some of this music was originally saved on a PC before I got the Mac and then saved on the Mac. Thus, I can play this music on my Mac but, although I can see the music files on my iPhone X, I can't play them there. I can play the music downloaded off iTunes on both the Mac and iPhone. How can I get the music on the laptop off it and onto the cloud?

No.

You can populate music to an iOS device using an iCloud Music Library or iTunes, but not both.
