MacBook Pro low performance issues
My MBP (Retine 13, mid-2014, 8GB ram) started running really slow. Almost an year ago I spilled liquid on it. Battery died but aside from that (plugged in of course) it was working perfectly.
Try repairing it but the istore technician said I would need to pay for a full body replacement, not worth for its age.
After the accident. I could still see the battery % at 50, that slowly want down until it reached 1% some days ago. Then it started running really slow, almost unusable. Tried a lot of things. Took it to a place so the battery was removed and it get better, usable but still slow and not as smooth as it used to be some days ago. I try everything even formatting it and re-installing MacOs as my last hope.
I don't know what else to do. It feels like the 8gb memory ram was turn into a 2gb one. This is not showed in the Activity Monitor when I open it at first. But when ever I actively using an app its %cpu goes up to 80-90 %, for example a yt video on safari or even the Activity Monitor it self figures as using 70%.. but idk if that's normal or not.
Maybe this are the consequences of the accident, many months later. Since it has its time I don't want to invest more on repairing. But until I can afford a new one I would like to know what happened, if its the software or hardware and if there's anything else I could do.
