myattwg redirect on iphone

For the past several days I have been getting occasional redirects when clicking on an link in an email or in my bookmarks that instead of taking me to the desired page I get redirected to a myattwg page that instructs me to sign in or call AT&T because of an issue with my account. I am on a Sprint phone (not ATT&T) and have checked with AT&T and this is a bogus page, not theirs, some type of malware. Checking on the internet, this situation has happened to others in the past (sometimes going to a myatt-wg page instead) but I don't see too many issues of this on apple devices and I haven't found any solutions on what to do with it on an iphone (as opposed to a mac). Yes I have cleared my website history and cookies on Safari, but it still comes back. It is not every site and every link but it is still occurring now and then and very annoying. I have an iPhone 6. Any idea how to get this off my phone?

iPhone 6, iOS 11.2.1
