I Never had to use a code to use Airplay TV and now its asking for a code. What is all that about? Censorship?

Hello Apple users. I am trying to use my Apple TV Airplay and it used to be easy as clicking the Airplay TV Icon but now they are asking for a code. Every time I put a "code" which appears on my TV into the wizard box on my Apple lap top it rejects the very code it gave me. Whats going on? Is Apple blocking content?

The code is there to restrict who else can access your Apple TV for AirPlay, so that the kid next door or an audience member during a presentation doesn’t interrupt you. Please review your settings on the Apple TV regarding AirPlay. It will allow you to change when a code is needed.
