Cellular Update Failed on iPhone

I've had my iPhone 7 for over a year now, and I'm now having issues with cell service. It says "No service" with a caution sign, and it says that I cannot use my data until I have updated, but there is no update. Is this a bug?

This is not a carrier issue! This is Apples update 12.0 sabotaging these phones!!!! The UPDATE is causing this!!! Do your research and READ what is happening here! This happened to me too and It is NOT a carrier issue even though it may seem like that is what the phone is doing! IT IS AN APPLE ISSUE DISGUISED TO LOOK LIKE A CARRIER ISSUE!. Apple should be sued.

Same problem, I signed up for iOS BETA program, I have an iPhone 7, 32 gb, version 12.1 (16B5089b), this has been occured 6 time in 4 hours, and signal (mobile data) comes and goes, I thought I finally fixed it with enable plane mode, then turn it off and then remove sim card, wait for three minutes and then insert sim card, I turned it on, disable plane mode and magically gets connected again, but in 5 minutes this problem happened again, first 4G text got removed, then then carrier name and again "no service" text again.

My carrier says is not a problem with signal, sim card or anything else realted to them, they says it has to be the phone or software.

there is no issue with your sim, check your model number. there are certain model numbers that there is this known issue (cant connect to carrier). my phone started this Wednesday and apple support figured it out in 3 minutes this morning. the internal board is malfunction, apple is replacing my phone for free today because it is a hardware issue.

Hi all,

I solved this issue.

. I got the same error in my iPhone 5s after 12.1.2 was released.

. I used a sim card of other mobile operator and "no service" message disappeared. I got signal again.

. I downloaded and installed the update.

. after that I just switched back to the original simcard and everything works fine.

My complaint is that I was forced to update my iPhone and that release is mainly for new models. I guess this issue is shared between apple and the mobile operators, in my case avantel in Colombia.
