How to bounce a take folder in mono?

Hi,

I've been trying to fade a clip and do gain staging, but I noticed that it can't be done without bouncing the clip first. My problem is when bouncing the file, it turns to a stereo signal. How can I do it in mono?

Thank you,

Logic Pro X, iOS 11.4.1

Dary1, it's possible to gain stage tracks using the Gain plugin (Utility > Gain). I can see that Audio 22 track has no effects, so you could just insert the Gain plugin and go from there.

The reason why you are not able to do so in the region parameter box on Audio 22 is that audio regions there are organized in take folders. So, another option for you would be to flatten the take folders, and then use the region parameter box for gain staging. Flattening the takes is a destructive action, because it creates a new audio file, so you might want to preserve the original take folders by duplicating the track, making copies of the take folders, and flattening the copies (and then gain staging them in the region parameter box).

As for the take region on a mono track being bounced in stereo, there might be a stereo effect plugin somewhere in the signal path. If you could post a screenshot of the Mixer, it would be easier to determine. Now I can only guess.

Bouncing stereo files to mono, bouncing mono files to mono? It seems to me that Logic always makes a stereo file by default. A mono file turned into stereo is no big deal, as both sides are identical.

This is what I have been doing years (and maybe I have been overlooking something):

Set the output to mono, and then click the 'Bnce' box, not 'cmb b'. If you do that you'll end op with a multimono file.

Sorry for not clarifying it. This is what I mean, as you can see in the Audio 22, the clip that is highlighted have multiple takes in it. I was trying to find a way to gain stage this track but the inspector in the left side doesn't have information.

But when I pick another track that has no take folder because I only record on it one time, there are information in the inspector so I can gain stage it.

That's why I tried to bounce it in place. The problem is it turns into a stereo signal once bounced like this one below.
