Safari issues loading pages correctly

It seems that for about the past several months that Safari has gotten increasingly unstable. The first issue is on certain pages like Facebook, there was only 1 full page of timeline and then it wouldn't provide any others. When you click on "more stories" it wouldn't load more. Secondly on Sports pages like NBC Olympics coverage and others, videos refused to play. Starting today, now certain pages do not display correctly such as the NY Times. It doesn't seem to be loading the frames correctly and the text looked like what you used to see on the old dial-ups. And its just been generally slow. All the things I mentioned work fine in Firefox. Has there been recent issues with Safari? I work on a Mid 2014 rMBP 15. Everything else is working fine. Thoughts?
