Export iMovie Timeline?

I have been making a short video in iMovie for the past few days, and I don't think it has the tools I need to do it well enough. That is why I downloaded DaVinci, and I want to try it out.

However I want to put my iMovie timeline into the DaVinci program, since the project media is not trimmed and clipped and split like in the timeline. It would be a ton of work to redo it all, so I wonder if there is a way to export the iMovie project with all the clips as separate files.

Or, can I update the project media library to only use what is in the timeline?

Thanks!

iMovie only allows sharing out an entire project, not individual clips of a project.

There you would need to Edit/copy each clip one at a time from your time line, and Edit/paste each clip into a separate project for each clip. Then you share out each separate project. That would allow you to preserve the edits you had made for each clip.
