Apple ID doesn't work in Apple shop My apple ID works on the iPhone 11 and to log into on the MacBook itself. However when I try to download an app from the Apple Shop to my MacBook Pro (2012) it says the password is invalid. I have tried to: re-start both MacBook and iPhone. I re-set the Apple ID password and re-booted the iPhone and MacBook Pro. It IS the correct password. The software is uptodate on both devices. I tried a different wi-fi for the MacBook None of it works. This is very frustrating as I need to download Office to get Excel to work. Please help.

user account control - application updates To update an a software application, I am getting a dialogue box that says "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" It is asking for my username and password. I am entering my Mac username and password and it is being rejected...how do I update either my username or password?

Thank you. Unfortunately, even when I do this, I still can't get into the app on my phone! If I go to another phone it works fine. 😕

Apps that run on a Mac area written different from their iOS cousins.

You have to create a new account and password and they will be different on each version.
