Mac keeps pausing HP prints

Hi guys

Could anyone offer some advise on why my Mac keeps pausing all prints on to Hp printer. Weird as I am able to print from my phone no problem.

I have connected the printer and Mac to the same WiFi. The Mac is even finding the printer! Printer saying connected.

I have tried un pausing on the green button. It goes straight back to paused. Iv tried clearing printers on Mac and then re loading printer.

Iv reset printer to default settings and re installed?

Iv got to be missing somthing.

Any advise would be great thanks

Cheers Craig

Here's a few suggestions for you to consider:

  1. Remove, and then, reinstall the HP printer driver on your Mac. Be sure that you have the very latest drive from HP for the version of macOS that you are running on your Mac.
  2. If not already, assign a static local IP address to your printer. By default, it was assigned a dynamic address. This will make it easier for your Mac to "find" it.
  3. Check the RAM memory amounts on both of your devices. Delays in print jobs can be due to limited RAM to hold the jobs on either device.
  4. Perform a "factory reset" on your printer. The printer user's guide should have the instructions on how to do this.
