Songs in library won't load onto ipod

I had to reboot my computer about 2 months ago and since then, the songs that I purchase off of itunes and the songs I get from my cd's won't load on the ipod. And when I plug my ipod into the computer, it keeps flashing " do not disconnect." The photos will load on it though. I've tried syncing it, changing the drive letter and Im out of ideas. And I have the latest version of itunes.

That sort of worked. My problem occured when I had to move all of my music off of my laptop onto my desktop. First it seemed to have "lost" half my music files and then it seemed to think that my iPod was looking for a "different library". The files were actually there but I had to go through each "lost" file and tell the iTunes where to find it which was a HUGE pain in the rear. Anyway once I switched to manual mode for syncing it seemed to alert me to the fact that it was looking for this other library and allowed me to override it. Does anyone know why it "lost" some of my music??

Can any one help with this.

I want to buy an 80gb ipod video. I have a large MP3 collection on my pc with a creative zen vision 60 gb. I like the system i have but want an apple. The thing holding me back is can i upload my existing library to itunes, does it cost a fortune and will they then sync to the ipod??

Any help appreciated!

To "drag and drop" content into the iPod is done by
switching your settings to "Manually manage music
and videos"
.

You can't drag files to your iPod when you're
syncing; this method is only if you are doing things
"manually".

After you've switched your settings to "manually
manage", you should be able to go to the "Library",
and drag files from the library areas to your iPod
(in the source list), using your main selection mouse
button (usually is the left button) to select the
file, and drag them.

I'm trying to help my dad out by loading his music onto his new Nano. The majority of his music loaded onto the iPod without problem, however 118 songs, which he had previously downloaded from the iTunes Store, did not load. When the iPod is connected to the computer a message appears that reads ''Song Name' was not uploaded to iPod because you are not authorized to play it on this computer.'

Help? Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem will be greatly appretiated.

I have an Ipod that is 3.5 years old (click modle-40gig). Since the last time I had it serviced (3rd time), when I download tracks from my "musicmatch jukebox" library, some tracks will not record to the ipod. This is the first time this has happended. If I breakup the title of an untransfered track with an additional space, or if it is a one word title, break up the word, THE TRACK TRANSFERS!!!!

Can anyone help?

I have the 20gb original U2 iPod, and whenever I connect it to the computer lately, the screen on the iPod will display the "Do not disconnect" message, but it doesn't show up on My Computer or on iTunes. If I right-click on My Computer, and then look at Devices under Manage, it shows the iPod, but its icon has a yellow warning triangle on it. And when you troubleshoot, it says it can't start it. I've tried pretty much everything, and I don't know what to do. I live in Nova Scotia, and the closest Apple store is in Toronto! Any help?
