Music stored on mac is calculated twice (double counted)

I'd like to reopen the discussion of this issue -- I'm having the exact same problem. I've moved my iTunes folder onto GoogleDrive and changed the file path of the iTunes media library to that location. There's nothing in the normal Music folder. My music is being double counted as it shows up under the Documents category:

See how lots of the files in the documents count are mp3s? If I go to those files in iTunes and then go "show in Finder" they show up in the GDrive location, the same path as if I follow these links in the Documents section, so there's no question this is a bug that needs to be resolved. I do not have these files stored twice on my machine.


In fact, the iTunes section is actually empty and yet counts towards the overall storage used up:
