Can't Sync. my iPhone 6 to my iMac ( High Sierra 10.13.6 )?

When in iTunes, the Sync program sits at Step 2 Backing Up. Tried restarting my Mac. No good!

sync iPhone with iTunes Is there a problem with backing up iPhones with new OS mojave? I had no problem before updating to this operating system. Since I get the error message sync session failed to start. I have tried different cables, made sure all software is up to date and carried out some maintenance as suggested on the internet after lengthy searches on the subject. iTunes 12.8.3.1 gives error trying to sync with iPad Mini 6 iMac Mid-201w/MacOS 10.13.6, iPad Mini 6 w/iOS 15.4, iPhone 12 w/iOS 15.4 When I tried to sync my new iPad Mini 6 with iTunes via USB, I get this message: However, my iPhone with the same version of iOS syncs just fine via USB. There isn't a problem backing up the Mini 6 to my iMac via USB with iTunes, just with syncing. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? And, no, I can't buy a new iMac even though I'm maxed out on the MacOS & iTunes versions.

Hmm, check the free space on your iMac and see this;

If your iTunes backup couldn‘t be completed or you can‘t restore from a backup
