Charger being very hot while charging..is it dangerous to phone?!

It is perfectly normal for the charger to heat up.

the main reason is that 12w iPad charger supports fast charging to X.

All that of course, taking under consideration ur using the Original Apple‘s iPad charoger.

Chargers typically get warm when charging, especially higher voltage chargers. However, if you feel this is hotter than normal I would discontinue use and source a new wall adapter as the unit may be defective in some way.
