Can Apple TV Output at 16:10 Aspect Ratio?

I have an Apple TV 4K, which I am trying to use with a Panasonic TX-19LXD8 TV which claims to be 720p, yet has an aspect ratio of 16:10. Is it possible to output the video from the Apple TV 4K in a 16:10 aspect ratio? If not, is there an app I can download to add this as an option?

My only alternative is to output at 720p and then adjust the aspect ratio on the TV, but I have to do this every time I use the Apple TV, so it's not ideal.

Not possible. As you’ve found the best you can do is adjust the aspect ratio on your tv . Also, it would have been better to go with the 4th Gen as your tv doesn’t even do 1080P let alone 4K

Not a problem and Fair enough. You just won’t get any of the benefit of the current model when using it on your 720P TV and it may not look all that great, why don’t you keep it connected to the 4K display and get the other (or a cheap dongle) for this Tv?

As it doesn't seem possible to adjust the aspect ratio to 16:10 and there are no apps that I have found which adds this as an option, the solution is to go into the TV's Picture menu and set the Auto selection to 'Letterbox' and not 'Overscan'. There is another option under the Settings menu to turn off Side Overscan. Once these settings are changed, the whole 16:9 picture is shown, but with a modest amount of letterboxing at top and bottom.

Thanks for the reply. I figured that might be the case.

As for the suitability of the Apple TV 4K to my situation, I also have a 4K TV which I may use it with on occasion.
