In restoring an iPhone Itunes shows message "The software for the iPhone was corrupted during download"

Hi all,

I have an iPhone 6S running 11.4.1 and because of poor battery performance I wanted to totally restore it to a fresh phone again so I backed up my phone through iTunes and hit Restore iPhone. When the iOS software download finishes I get this message:

"The software for the iPhone was corrupted during download - disconnect and reconnect, then try again... etc etc..."

I've tried it at least 6 / 7 times and it's the same message each time...

I've tried a restart of my Mac, the iPhone and my internet routers and no change. ALL devices and software is at latest updates so that's not the problem. Could this be a thing that happens on certain types of internet connections? Currently trying the download over my Hotspot connection to see if there's a difference.

Hi

Turn your router off for 20 /30 seconds when it's back on go to settings on iPhone down to reset Reset network settings After reset enter your router wireless key.

Then turn iPhone off Make sure your pc is running the latest iTunes 12.7.5 or later.

Connect lead to USB on your pc Press just the power button down on iPhone don't let go Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed down until pc sees iPhone Then wait for restore you may need to do this more than once Before it works.

If you still have a problem make an appointment at Apple store.
