Accessing icloud email on Amazon Fire HD 8

Hello. I'm trying to set up my Fire HD Tablet to access my icloud emails and even though I have set up the IMAP correctly

IMAP information for the incoming mail server

  • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
  • Port: 993
  • Username: This is usually the name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not emilyparker@icloud.com). If your email client can't connect to iCloud using just the name part of your iCloud email address, try using the full address.

SMTP information for the outgoing mail server

  • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
If you see an error message when using SSL, try using TLS or STARTTLS instead.
  • Port: 587
  • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker@icloud.com, not emilyparker)

It's giving me the error
Unable to Set Up Account

Message from your email provider : Email address or passwork incorrect.

But I know that I have the correct password and email address as I logged on with my laptop.

Has anyone encountered this problem and how did you fix it ?

Thank you for your input.

You need to enable 2 Factor Authentication on your Apple ID and create an app specific password to use. If your account won’t allow 2 Factor Authentication, try 2 step verification.

Apple ID -Two-factor authentication

Two Factor Authentification availability

Apple ID - Using app-specific passwords
