I dragged the photos icon into the camera icon and froze my home screen

Hi all,

In an effort to clean up the home screen on a new iPhone 8 I was clearing up some icons. I dragged the photos icon on top of the camera icon and the phone offered the title 'Photography'; when I accepted that name both icons disappeared, but the empty "Photography" folder is open and the rest of the home screen is now fuzzy and in the background. I can't get past this now. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

Best regards,

Frank

If the phone is frozen and unresponsive, try a forced restart.

On an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

Close the folder, double-click the Home button to close all open apps, then open the phone again to see if you can see the two icons in the Photography folder. Also, make sure there are not two (or more) little white buttons at the bottom of the folder screen. If there are, swipe to the left to see if the icons are on the next screen.
