Preview - character spacing

Is there a way to expand the spacing between characters in Preview when adding text to a picture?

The "Font" menu does not seem to include such option.

I'm filling in a tax form PDF and every time I enter some text I have to resize it, it's driving me crazy. This question was already asked here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251179942 But unfortunately the answer doesn't work for me, I know how to change the font size, but Preview does not remember the last font size used but seems to revert back to something else every time I open a new text box, like the OP. Preview - reduce space between lines of text Is there a way to reduce the space between lines of text in Preview? It seems like suddenly there is more space between the lines. And it is definitely more than needed. Plus, it makes it difficult to do what I am trying to do. Thank you in advance for any help.

How to fix Text box in preview? Hello All, I here to ask all of you about my problem with Text Box in Preview. Does anyone ever meet this problem or you know how to fix this? My text box always see like this even I add or reduce the font size.

The intent of the text annotation feature in Preview does not include any “word processing” features such as vertical line spacing. The Skim PDF viewer doesn't either. And from what I can see, PDFpen (PDF Editor) does not provide this text feature either.
