Contacts on Mac don't sync to iCloud

Contacts on Mac don't sync to iCloud

Once again I'm adding contacts to the Contact app on my MacBook Pro and they don't sync up to iCloud so it doesn't sync with my iPhone. Nothing changes it just stops syncing.

Short of using another contact app from a 3rd party does anyone have any suggestions/help?

I went through this with apple support many months ago and it just started working but again not working once again (probably the 4th or 5th time I've experienced this).

Just to add additional insight....I create a contact in iCloud yet it doesn't sync down to my MacBook. Again this is a common occurrence and it happened several months ago. It is as if iCloud has stopped working for contact and only contacts. For example Calendars are still syncing between my MacBook, iPhone and iCloud.

Try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing.

Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders - Get help using iCloud

Last resort - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?

I have disabled and re-enabled contacts and also logged out of iCloud and back in and it still doesn't work. I'm just going to look at a 3rd party option. Thanks for the help.
