Eye strain on iPhone X

I only see a couple of people on here about the eye strain. I’ve had this X phone since it was available, I was one of the first to receive it. I have since had to get glasses and my eyes hurt to look at the iphone, esp while using the iphone. I had no idea there was an issue with this phone or people as a community having issues with their eyes. I made the adjustments for the brightness etc. a long time ago. I think it was actually already on the correct brightness And setting. I don’t even know what to do since the unvaling of the new phones, are they better or worse. Please Help!
