MBPro late 2011. Worth a RAM upgrade?

Hi, I've just upgraded my old MBPro (15 inch, late 2011) from an HDD to an SDD and the performance has improved much more than I thought. So I've started thinking about upgrading the RAM, too. I don't edit video on this laptop, I do that on a desktop, but if a RAM upgrade made things easier I would consider it. I would use it only for creating draft edits, but I typically shoot 4K with an a7s II, so I'd love to be able to work directly with those files without proxies. These are the specs:

Would a RAM upgrade be worth it? Thanks!

With the greatest of respect Tom that is a little bit unfair, Towing the Apple line like that and I might add , utter nonsense! .i have a mid 2009 15”MBP 5,4 machine which , with its new SSD 1TB Internal HD and recently installed upgrade to 8 Gig of RAM manages to run Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 like a dream AND everything I can throw at it inside the 10.4.3 version of FCPX including MULTIPLE timelines Handling with ease complex bespoke title sequences , transitions, and effects , creating compound clips instantly and Rendering up to 2K final cuts into the Master File. All this and running the latest Motion 5.4.1 side by side Without a murmer ! It also runs its day to day tasks Mail Photos , iTunes (albeit a tad slower) if FCPX is flat out but otherwise quite satisfactorily and without a hitch . It receives regular check ups from Etracheck which gives it consistently favourable performance reports and I have had nothing but praise for the stunning work projects I have produced from it.! WORKHORSE Projects I might add that I’m not entirely convinced the new MBP models of this generation have been cut out for ?

Don’t knock these amazing machines too heavily based on their age Tom , after all , age is merely a zero and a one isn’t it ?
