Transition to OS 10.13, Aperture, iPhoto

I would like to upgrade to OS 10.13 to run Capture One Pro and other current software.

I now have Aperture 3.6 and iPhotos 9.4.3 running on OS 10.10.5 and all work great.

Questions -

1. Will Aperture still work even with the older iPhotos??

2. Should I upgrade directly to OS 10.13 High Sierra and expect to be able to open Aperture which uses iPhoto without problems? i.e. the upgrade will not do anything destructive to the iPhoto library?

3. Is there any value to upgrading Aperture to 3.6.1 and iPhotos to the 9.6.1 (most recent versions) before doing the OS upgrade? Any resources for doing this?

Yes, my late 2014 iMac will handle High Sierra and I have multiple backups.

You can use Aperture and iPhoto in High Sierra but there are things you must do first, back up their respective Libraries, make sure both apps appear in your App Store Purchased page.

For iPhoto follow the instructions here, read thoroughly before attempting.

Can't Update iPhoto because it is not available in the App Storewhilst it makes reference to Yosemite don't worry the procedure works with High Sierra.
