I downloaded IOS 12 on my Iphone 6s and when I went to download watch OS 5 I realized that my bluetooth wasnt working even though I had had bluetooth enabled. This is a problem because I have an Apple Watch Series 1 42mm that i would really like to work properly.

Look like iOS 12 has many Bluetooth bugs. Please see if fresh install helps as per this article

Interesting, yes. that was precisely my point. And I NEVER said, or implied, they were supported. Never.
You may well be the first person I've ever heard from who successfully paired a mouse with an iOS device.
