My battery claimed 93% health, but went from full charge to empty within 30 min. That started one week before iOS 12, and software update didn’t change it.
Got a new battery from Apple without touching anything else. Now the iPhone 6S after a long day of usage is still at 60% charge. Latest iOS 12.
I strongly recommend getting a new battery, while Apple is still offering them this year for little money.
Sorry to say the options listed above did not work to solve the problem for me. Need to get off this operating system.😠😕
Same as me after 3 weeks updates. The power drained 10% every hour even the phone screen is offed
That's exactly the same with me. I'm sure that Apple did it deliberately to make old-phone users update.
Thanks, but... it didn't help in my case
Hi all. Same problem here, it's so disappointing. I will never update so soon again and probably this 6s will be my last iphone.
I have same issue here battery dont go even half a day. And it is almost a week now when i had installed the sofware.
Same issue. Left my phone overnight, and 100% battery dropped to 1% in the morning.
Upgraded to iOS 12 last week...but wish that I had not.
Thank you! Looking forward to change my battery too.
Hi Jem - I am almost certain it’s not your battery. It’s the software.
I already used a lot of those tips in ios10.3.3. But thanks for the tip!
I think I will try the DFU restore as my next step.
None of these help significantly. This is a software bug, not user incompetence.
My battery health is at 95% and this is an issue for me. I'm installing 12.1 now to see it fixes the problem
Please let me know if the update is a fix. I'm really curious if it was a software issue. I was notified about the update right after I changed my battery.
Isn't the warranty supposed to start right when you buy the device no matter how "old" it is?
