You can’t.

(Sorry for the “harsh-sounding” reality)

What makes you think that you need to do so?

So … since you’re going to have to “live with it”

Recommend that you carefully review and thoroughly digest the two fairly important and informative articles linked below.

Pay particularly close attention to thoughtfully selecting and setting up Trusted Numbers … these become critical when you need to regain access to your account (e.g. lost, damaged, or stolen device).

i find it inconvenient to have this two fact. code, especially if you have soo many apply products, and in hurry, such as myself, i am constantly in hurry, and a very busy person. this two fact. should be obtional to aplle users not a indefinite, its a paid in ***. i have too many passwords to remember already and dont need this as another challenge for me.

How often are you being asked for the code? If I'm asked for it twice a month, that's a lot. If you explain when you're being asked for it, perhaps someone can help you figure out a way to make things work better for you.

Realistically, if you have your trusted devices set up properly, it should add, maybe 10 seconds to logging in. And, you don't have to remember anything.

I now have it where I can’t make purchases on my Apple TV - tried buying films and it says it needs a code to verify - I get sent a code and put that in - it now says that the mobile number needs verifying - it’s the only number on my Apple ID - if inputting the code is not veridication then what is?

Which generation Apple TV do you have? It might be old enough (gen 2 I believe) that requires you to enter the 6 digit code along with your Apple ID password (password first, immediately followed by the 6 digit code).

It was never broken. Why didn't you contact iTunes Store support immediately, rather than waste $80? You can share an Apple ID for the iTunes & App store if you want to with no real problems, but you still should not share an Apple ID for iCloud. You do not have to be logged into the same Apple ID for iCloud that you are for the store.

SO for security purposes I clear cookies often, do not save passwords, etc. For my security methods I should have to use 2FA? This makes no sense. If I want to keep Apple tracking cookies on my machine I won't have to use 2FA? Do the math. Its a scheme to force tracking.

Apple doesn't track you. But the fact that you own a cell phone means that you are being tracked by everyone else. Your cell phone carrier knows where you are all the time. They sell that information and provide it to law enforcement agencies, as well as selling it to advertisers, debt collectors, repo companies - anyone who is willing to pay for it. Do you drive? If you have a toll transponder (such as E-ZPass) your car is being tracked constantly, not just when you pay tolls with it. There are detectors along all major highways that read your transponder. It's how those signs work that tell you how long it will take to get to various exits. And if you don't have a toll transponder they still track you using your license plates. Most police vehicles scan license plates continuously. As do repo trucks. Yes, they are looking for vehicles that have fallen behind in payments, but they scan and store every license plate and upload that information to a master database.

About the only one that doesn't track you is Apple. And that's the one that you want to disable. It makes no sense. If you don't want to be tracked get rid of your cell phone.

RIGHT! When I am working with my 3 MacBook Pro Retinas, I am on a WIRED network, no WIFI and I am buried in a room where cell signal is rarely available so how would I have my PHONE get on the internet to even get the code? I cannot WIRE my phone to the internet signal. Apple has turned their back on professional audio engineers.

If you register your MacBooks with 2 FA you will get the code on the computer. You don't need your phone.

No, there isn’t yet. A suit has been filed. No court has ruled that it has merit yet and can proceed. Anyone can file a lawsuit, class action or otherwise. But it is not a class action lawsuit until a court determines the validity of the class. There have already been news reports this class action suit is very likely to be outrightly dismissed by the CA courts as it lacks merit.
