Audio Interface Not Showing Up, Pls Help

hi, I have have an issue where I can't get my presonus fire studio to show up in my sound preferences on my iMac (late 2012). It shows up when I do a system report but docent come up in audio midi setup or preferences. It connects perfectly to my MacBook Pro (late 2012). Im using a thunderbolt to firewire adapter, it works with the adapter on my laptop but I can't get it to show up on my sound pref. on my iMac

PLEASE HELP, I can't record without it ;(

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

I did that and now my pro tools arrogate came up as in input and output but still no presonus

Which OS Verizon do you have on the iMac? Need to make sure your drivers are updated on the Mac, so that your audio interface connection is recognized. Do you know if your audio interface has its firmware updated? Also, go to ‘About this Mac’ from the Apple menu top left, click on System Report, and check if the device shows up in the hardware section. Probably connected to FireWire if it shows. Good luck!

I have 10.13. The presonus is a plug in play. theres no drivers for the interface, same with my MacBook Pro never had to download a driver. I did the system report and it shows its connected through the thunderbolt port. just dosent show up in my pref. or anywhere to be able to select it as an input
