Do Not Disturb notification

The notification is "DO NOT DISTURB

Calls and notifications will be silenced until Do Not Disturb is turned off."

It would great if Apple would allow us, some who paid 1,100 bucks for a phone, the option to disable this notification. It may be helpful to some but is extremely annoying to others.

That notification is SO ANNOYING. I already know how the "Do not disturb" mode works. I don't need a notification remembering me of that EVERY SINGLE DAY. Plus, I already have the icon at the top of the screen, so I already know it's on. iOS should have AT LEAST an option to deactivate that.

To the contrary. I find it incredibly useful. I know how Do not disturb mode works. I don't always remember the start and end time I have set, however. A few months ago I was waiting for an important phone call. The reminder would have helped to remind me to disable DND while I was waiting. Instead I missed the call, which led to the better part of the day catching up and apologizing. It doesn't bother me in the slightest to have a reminder at the top of my notification screen, even though I ignore it 99.9% of the time. The once in a blue moon that it is useful makes it worthwhile to it's taking up a couple of lines on the Notification screen. I ignore lots of notifications, but I still want the option of ignoring them.

Until Apple makes it possible to set different schedules for different days of the week, it's very important to me. I have DND enabled from 9a-5p weekdays as in my current workplace, having one's phone go off it not considered polite. But, I often forget to disable it on the weekends.

To me, if you find it useful, no problem. Apple just needs to add DND to Notifications so it can be turned on or off at the discretion of the user. It can’t be too hard to add that feature because Apple does it for many other apps. Apple has many features that don’t allow a choice by the user. Are the programmers just thoughtless or does Apple think their way should be the only way? Either way, Apple products aren’t cheap. For the high prices, they need to be more considerate of their customers.

The latter. Apple has a very long history of giving the customer what Apple believes they should have rather than what the customer thinks they want.

I have the same problem. It’s absurd to have your phone on do not disturb mode, and look at it and see a message stating the obvious.

It means each time I check it, I’m worried I missed something.

since it's clearly a new feature in the 12 upgrade why would you waste our time suggesting it can be fixed in this way.

Ah - ok I can see that and I appreciate your perspective. Sorry for assuming the worst and thanks for clarifying. That makes plenty of sense.

I does work momentarily, after awhile comes back again.

Yes, I think we all know that we have Do Not Disturb turned on. We’re, or at least I, am looking for a way to turn off or disable that notification. It doesn’t need to pop up several times a day.

Simply put, I wish Apple would give an option to turn this notification off, I don't need it on my lock screen.

I am completely agree. It’s so annoying that I am going to give up I phone. How can be so dumb. After all we are dealing with apple.

Super annoying! I also have DND always on. Stop this.
