Do Not Disturb notification

Has anyone else had to clear off the explanatory notification about Do Not Disturb notifications from the lock screen several times an hour after upgrading to ios 12?

Any thoughts on how to keep it from coming back?

As several people have noted, currently there isn’t a toggle to switch the “Do Not Disturb is On” notification on or off. It’s a new feature that Apple released with iOS 12 and if you’d like to have them address it you should copy the message below and add feedback at: https://www.apple.com/feedback/

“Please offer a toggle in the settings for Do Not Disturb to switch the “Do Not Disturb is Turned On” notification on and off. I, like many, have set DND on a specific schedule and am fully aware when it is on or off. I understand that some users may accidentally turn DND on and would prefer a notification, but the constant reminder and need to dismiss the pop-up notification detracts from the iPhone experience and aesthetic for those of us who are aware of when we’ve scheduled Do Not Disturb. Thank you!”

First, my home screen has NO folders or files, they start on the 2nd screen, and therefore my custom wallpaper can be seen in FULL when the phone is locked.

The lock screen and home screen wallpaper are different functions. You can certainly have chosen the same picture for both. However, you don't have to have the first screen of your phone empty in order to see the picture on your lock screen.

You can submit all of your concerns to Apple as no one here can make any changes:

It appears that now the notice stays cleared once cleared.

It reappears if you deactivate DND and then reactivate it.

If you clear the message, after activating DND, the pesky notice now stays cleared.

For those of us who use DND, as our default state, this is much better.

It would be better still if Apple would get rid of the notice all together, since the crescent already does the job much more elegantly. Poor design IMHO.

Please don't presume to speak for everyone. I prefer the notice on the lock screen.

I've seen far fewer people complaining that they're not getting their phone calls or text notifications only to find out that they'd enabled DND by accident. So, I think it's a pretty good design.

I guess it’s the most ******** change in iOS 12 that’s against what Apple products are supposed to be about.

(I call it “Don’t look like a Christmas tree. ”)

I wonder why they haven’t renamed it to “Do disturb mode”. Maybe in the next patch.

In addition to disturbing me on four devices, it’s sitting on the middle of my wallpaper so I can’t see my partner’s huge boobs on it.

I spent much time on moving her face from below the clock to somewhere when I can see it. And now this.
