Kernel Panic

I am having trouble with a mid 2010 macbook pro 13". I get random kernel panics, and the computer generally wont run more than 30 minutes or so, most times even less.

I'm new to macs and I don't have much of an idea of what I am looking at, can someone point me in the right direction?

Here is a copy of the panic log:

I have done all of that to the best of my ability, and I am still getting the restarts and crashes. Sometimes the machine will crash with a graphical glitch, sometimes it will just white screen, sometimes straight to black screen and lock up.

The only third party software that I have is office365, other than that the machine is a fresh install of high sierra. The machine would not boot at all until I did a install from recovery.

I wasn't certain of apple definition of "Page Fault". Could the os be lowing a bad address into the paging mechanism?

It's not Apple's term. It is from Intel. Apple used to have a document that linked to an Intel discussion of panics, but I can't find either at the moment.

I don't know the range of what that term means. I think your supposition is entirely possible.

Panic Report ***

panic(cpu 1 caller 0xffffff80091fd245): Kernel trap at 0xffffff800958cc10, type 14=page fault, registers:

Could be a hardware problem. Run hardware diagnostics or take to apple store.

What is Trustd?

It is a daemon, which means it's a process that runs in the background performing critical system tasks. To be specific, trustd manages and checks certificates. To quote the trustd man page: trustd provides services for evaluating trust in certificates for all processes on the system.Nov 1, 2017

You may want to run these "standard" fixes if the problem persists.

1) Check the amount of free space on your harddrive. You should have a several gigs free.

2) You should run disk utility

Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility

a) verify the disk

b) update your permissions.

3) Try a safe boot.

Shutdown your machine. Hold down the shift key. Poweron. The boot up will take longer than normal because the filesystem on the startup drive is being checked and repaired as needed. All about safe mode including what features and apps safe boot leaves out.

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455

4) Another way to correct filesystem problems is into single use mode.

This page will tell you how to get into single user mode.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1492

Basically, you hold down the command + s key then powering on your machine. The command key

has a little apple symbol on the lower left. It is between the alt/option key and the space bar.
