I have 4 Schlage Bluetooth door locks that worked perfectly with my 4th Gen Apple TV until I upgraded to tvos 12. Now only the closest 2 still work. Has anyone else noticed an issue with Bluetooth range after upgrading to tvos 12? Can I still downgrade to 11.4.1?

Seems after upgrading to the final release of tvOS 12.1 my locks now respond as they did prior to tvOS 12.0. So it looks as though they fixed it. I tested with disabling Bluetooth on my iPhone and unplugging my ATV running 11.x so only thing ATV running 12.1 was the home hub and all of the locks worked again. So I guess it was an Apple issue in contrast to what the mod had said.
I face exactly the same problem after upgrading my appleTV to tvos12. Elgato and fibaro devices cannot connect anymore if they are too far away from my ATV. it was working perfectly before...
I hope this issue will be solved soon.
Upgrade to tvOS 12.1 made no difference for me. Range is still poor and lock will not communicate. Even with my iPhone running 12.1, the range is reduced and I now have to stand very close to the lock for it to work; no such problems with 11.x on ATV or iPhone.
Same issue here. After updating my Apple TV my Schlage locks will only work when my phone is in Bluetooth range and I can no longer use them with the ATV as a hub
Both of the other users are using the same brand of lock. You are the only one using a different one. There have been no reports here of other Bluetooth accessories having issues.
One thing that I would wish very much, would be an app (or OS feature) in ATV to monitor the HomeKit operations and status. That would be very useful.
It seems to me that the feedback form would be useful for such things.
Do you have any evidence to back this up?
All we know at the moment is that the problems started after an update to the Apple TV and the locks worked flawlessly before that.

It does. It will try the connected ATV first then it will try any standby hubs, so there might be a slight delay but it will use the standby hubs.
I take back my moment of joy. The success did not last for too long. No, it does not work. The tvOS 12.1 did not correct the BLE connectivity problem.
I have two Schlage Smart Sense Deadbolt locks. I have an Apple TV (4th Generation) running tvOS 12 acting as a HomeKit bridge. All this worked great for a couple of months, but recently, when using Siri on my iPhone 6s running iOS 12.0.1 to "Unlock the front door" I get

I've tried rebooting my router, Apple TV and phone, but still have the problem. I reset one of the locks and re-added it to Home Kit, but that didn't help.
Finally, I downgraded my AppleTV to tvOS 10.2.2 because this is the only non-12 version that Apple is signing. My Schlage locks are working without problem now.
