Folders grey: iPad mini 2 with iOS 12
After updating my iPad mini 2, the App folders are dark grey against the background, which looks really bad. Is this normal? If not, how can I change it?

If it's a dark grey you might have Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Transparency 'on'

Had the same issue with my iPhone 7 Plus after updating to ioS 12 - all the folders turned grey which wasn't appealing to me - after following your instructions and turning the reduce transparency "off" they are an atractive light blue. THANK YOU!
I have an iPhone 8 ... I tried the settings -general - transparency, it changed it to a slightly lighter awful grey. My wallp is light. I did try changing the wallpaper, it doesn’t help. Any suggestions?
Did anyone solve this issue? I have the iPhone 8 Plus and I just updated to the new iOS 12 and i have all my folders and main bottom menu as an ugly dark gray. My notification bubbles are coming out like this too. HALPPPPP! T-T
I tried the reduce transparency suggestion, and it didn't do much. it's still ugly.

Are they light grey or a dark grey ?
That looks like it might just be because your wallpaper image is dark, that's coming through and making the folders look darker.
Thanks. I tried with a light wallpaper but it does not change too much and it never reached the color it was with IOS 11.
