Help: My computer is having issues, My Passport that is my backup became corrupted and unusable, can it be fixed?

My Guest User account stopped functioning, tried to command+R to repair, now display is flickering on that account and it won't connect to the internet, even though the Admin Account does.

My Yahoo mail account cannot get New Mail and dings when I try to get new mail. Any suggestions? Do I need to bring my IMac to an Apple Store for diagnosis or repair? I am afraid that I might make my computer worse.

Any help much appreciated!!!

By Passport, I suspect you are referring to your External Hard Disk. Without knowing if it is damaged or not no one can tell if it can be repaired.

Take the computer to an Apple Authorized Service Provider to be professionally diagnosed and repaired.
