Blinking White Light far right of Touch Bar

They couldn't diagnose anything at the Genius Bar but it was also not restarting correctly with one of the tests that they ran. Also I had a video of the blinking light as it is difficult to just recreate it being it started to happen randomly.

So with the visual confirmation that I provided and the peculiar way it was restarting, they ordered me a new machine which was a relief. It's a custom config so I won't have it for at least another week.

I would also like to add that the machine I currently have (get to hold onto it in the meantime) started to develop little glitches over the last few days that may be indicative of a bigger problem. The TouchBar is showing slightly weird lighting patterns from time to time in addition to the original blinking light. Camera applications such as Zoom and FaceTime freeze and need to be restarted. The cursor is getting jumpy and not responding to the trackpad sometimes. Videos run on Safari via Youtube or Vimeo have everything running a little laggy.

So if you are having this blinking light issue, record it, and get a replacement asap.

Wanted to add a little more: I reset the SMC and NVRAM, installed Mojave. Still nothing. Genius Bar in three days

I wanted to add that I restarted in safe mode and it does the same thing. Also, it is now a larger rectangle of a light that is blinking. As soon as I put the machine to sleep, everything is black except the Siri portion of the Touch Bar which is now blinking white. Heading to Genius Bar in the next few days; will keep you posted
