Unrecognized Serial Number
I have a Mac Mini 2014 that I am trying to trade-in. However, its serial number is being termed as invalid and I am not sure what to do about it. Please advice. Thank you very much!

Make a Genius Bar Appointment and bring it in. You can trade it in at the same time. They may want to see proof-of-purchase (if you bought it through Apple they should have a record). It only takes a minute to do the re serialization.

Check on the surface of your Mac Mini to be sure the serial number is the same:
I'm not sure why that would be happening, I'd suggest checking with Apple.
Thanks for the quick response. I checked once again, and both the serial number from the "About this Mac" link and that is being engraved on the surface are the same. And, whenever I try verifying, the message I get is "We’re sorry, but this serial number isn’t valid. Please check your information and try again."
Thanks much! Contacting Apple Support is the biggest challenge as it is difficult to initiate a call or chat without a valid serial number.
