Hi, I updated to ios12 and now the messages that I’m addressing to my daughter go to my husband instead. Nothing has changed other than the update. It doesn’t matter how I input her name or number, the instant I hit send it shows my husband’s name & sends to him. I’ve restarted it several times and am starching my head on this one. Thanks for your help.

Apple did take notice. This was fixed in iOS 12.1.

Did you make sure that everyone is udpated to iOS 12.1 and if necessary delete the infected threads? Restart your phones as well. If that doesn’t help, recreate the contacts for those involved.

Me too. Why can’t Apple figure out that we want One photo album. it ***** having to create two apple ID and somehow someway merge photos.

Unfortunately updating to iOS 12.1 does not fix the issue. Apple has to provide a fix..

Correct, it did not fix the problem. My son’s texts disappear and when I try to send texts to him my wife’s text comes up..
Did you read my post? We are all on 12.1. We have restarted. We have followed the advice on this thread. It is still not working properly.
None of us were signed in on the same ID. All separate accounts.
In fact in each case one of the participants doesn't even have an Apple account and are not on iPhones. I thought it had something to do with that.
My text messages are going to my husbands phone.
I'm still looking for info, but I'm wondering if today's update to 12.1.2 might habe contained a fix for this.
