Just got my brand new iPhone XS today and put it on my Belkin dual iPhone & iWatch charging stand (not the wireless one) and it repeatedly chimes the charging chime and does not stop until I unplug it from the charger? Is anyone else having this issue?
Husband and I both have these and I was trying to figure out how mine is still working and his doesn’t with our xs maxes. We figured out the solution tonight. I have a popsocket on mine and he didn’t. So the phone has to be tilted slightly forward and will stay charging. My popsocket was in just the right spot to space the phone away from the back bracket and cause the correct angle. He made his own version by adding a bunch of tape and a pen cap around the bracket to build up a spacer. Still moody and you have to be careful not to bump the phones once charging but they’ll charge. Hope this helps.
Facing the same problem here. For my 8 plus i got few witeless charger for each room, and now this xs max is not charging on any of them. It is a failure big time.
Which wireless charger? If it is one of the Belkin's wait for iOS 12.1
Although I’m not surprised, I am annoyed by this behavior. The phones are now well over $1000 and they also expect you to buy all new accessories. Poor show Apple!
I update my XS to 12.1 and I’m still having the same problems. They’re not as bad but the phone still stops charging and then spin starts charging when it’s in the dock.
My XR charged wirelessly fo a month and now it won’t. The charger is fine. Charging with the cord is fine. It won’t charge with other chargers either. Apple sent the problem to the engineers.
Just got a new Xs. iOS up to date. Charging ok now. XR still broken.
I have two belkin valet charger iphone (lightning) + watch (magnetic) stands. They work with the apple watch 3, iphone 7 and iphone x. They do not work with the iphone xs. It keeps oscillating between charging and not charging.
The Amazon listing now has this listed with a disclaimer that iphone xr, xs and xs max are not supported. Great.
I am taking mine tomorrow back to Apple , that’s where I got it so either they fix the problem or I will demand money back, that thing was not cheap. I don’t understand if it’s correct docking why it would not work. I am sick of being ripped off by Apple on small things like that.
