iPhone XS Max Weak 5GHz WIFI Reception
I used to have full bars at my bed with iPhone X, now the Max only has 2. And it has trouble reconnect to the WIFI after airplane mode is turned on with WIFI turned on.

This is my second phone and second or third SIM card. I’ve been through everything. I gave up. So I’ll live with a $1200 phone for now. No other options really.
One could always cut their losses and sell. Pretty much every other phone is less expensive than an XS Max...

Oh, I’ve been plenty annoying! But I’m really glad that there’s been a resolution for you and hopefully many others. These are terrific (and very expensive) devices.
How’s today’s release of iOS 12.1.2 on your end? I was fine thru all of the 12.1.1 betas, but then issues returned on the official 12.1.1 release, and now seem worse on 12.1.2
No issues since 12.0.1.
Were you having issues before and the 12.0.1 update solve it?
Yes - 5 GHz and speed issues that were fixed in 12.0.1, at least for me.
Speeds are still fast in 12.1.2.
