App store won't update - "we've run into a problem"

I have five updates but when after clicking update, a pop-up says: "Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions have changed. To proceed, you must read and accept the new Terms & Conditions." I click 'okay' and then and 'agree' but then a pop-up comes up and says "We've run into a problem". And no update occurs. What is going on and how can I fix this?


macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), macOS High Sierra (10.13.4)

I had the same issue. I resolved the issue by updating the MacBook app-store setting: (scroll down to the bottom, click flag icon, and update your region). FYI, restarting MacOS didn't help anything.


I recently moved to US from Sweden and changed my account setup accordingly while the region of App store on my MacBook isn't updated automatically. I think that the error occurred due to the mismatch between the region settings of my apple account and MacBook app-store.
