With the IOS 12 update the keyboard change on iPad? I keep hitting the world key instead of the number key.
It driving me nuts, I feel like I'm missing something ... along with tapping the wrong key on the iPad...
why would anyone think these keys should be in a different place?!
Are others having this issues?

There is absolutely no way to change this. This is a fixed UI element.
It is part of iOS 12.
Know one, but Apple, knows why they decided to change the position of these keys.

You, also, have the option of seeking out another third party software keyboard from the iOS App Store, as well.
Please check your updates: iOS12.0.1 was released on October 8 and it restores the original position of the "?123" key on the iPad keyboard.

Yes, and it has become annoyin, slowing down the typing on my iPad. The iPhone keyboard still uses the old arrangements of world key and number key. I cannot find a solution myself. I wonder if this happens with everyone or just some people
