Date not changing on Infograph face

44mm Series 4, watchOS 5.0

I have day and date set as top center dial of my infograph face. The date does not change after midnight. The only way I have been able to get it to change is to power the watch down, and back up. When it is showing the incorrect date, it still pulls up the correct calendar date when I touch it, but goes back to the wrong date when I close the calendar. It also shows the correct day's upcoming events.

Anyone else having this issue?

My husband and I are both using the Infograph face and have the same problem. I assume that this will be fixed in an update. Until then, if you switch to a different watch face and immediately go back to the Infograph, it will change the date to the correct date upon reloading. On the plus side, this seems to only affect the actual date and it still displays your scheduled activities correctly, so if you forget to correct the date in the morning and use your watch face to notify you of meetings or activities, you'll still be fine.

I already have a case open with Apple. They’re looking into the matter and should get back to me with an answer on th 1st of October. By the way, another action that corrects the problem is adding an appointment to the calendar. This triggers a refresh of the displayed date. Note also that if you look at the watch BEFORE unlocking it you’ll sometimes see the correct date that reverts to bad date once the watch is unlocked.

A clear bug!

I’m upgrading my watch with the freshly baked iOS 5.01 while I write this... tonight at midnight I’ll be able to tell you if it corrects the issue...

I have the same issue and reported to Feedback - Apple Watch - Apple. Later you can se suggestion to upgrade to 5.0.1, doing that now, as many reports indicate it will fix this issue. I do however feel Apple dropped the ball on this as Date and Time are the main info a watches are supposed to provide. Also there is no "badge" alerting that an update is available for your watch, on your phone or watch itself. One should be generated, like it is when an iOS update is available for you phone.
