I have just upgraded to Mojave through the app store from Seirra. It took for ever at the log in screen and then finally the WIFI is greyed out with a X and when you open a browser there is not connectivity. Late 2017 iMac
I am not running little snitch, it takes for ever to restart too.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I solved the problem by doing a clean install of Mojave, and once the installation was finished I used Migration Assistant to migrate my applications, my settings, and my user folder—but NOT the “other files and folders”. Once I restarted, the problem was fixed. This solved both the internet problem and the slow login.
Do not install Mojave.

Well, how did you go back to the last high sierra? Did you have to back up your system?
Interesting that you had to use Migration Assistant since the installer should be doing that. I think I'll just wait until they have an installer for 10.14.3 before trying again. I had the same issue on multiple install attempts where the OS was not seeing any hardware for internet connections (either Ethernet or WiFi).
One of my Time Machine drives failed on Friday so I got one out of my old G5 Mac Pro and put it into the old drive's case. Then clean installed Mojave and copied over my Users and Groups. Mojave worked perfectly. Meanwhile my iMac's main drive is still running High Sierra. Today, as the weather is miserable, I'm going to have another go at installing Mojave over High Sierra. If that fails I'll erase the whole drive and do a complete clean install followed by a migrating of all the junk from Time Machine.
