The lid on my MacBook Pro will not shut completely and the bottom of the case appears to be bulging - so it now does not sit flat on my desk, but can be rocked from side to side. Is this an example of the battery swelling..?? Can it be fixed..or is there some other likely cause..?

Thanks for using Apple discussions. This could be a case of battery swelling. If you have an Apple Store nearby they should be able to take a look and figure out what’s causing your lid to not shut fully.
